Kudos for Virginia Krebs
I’d like to thank Virginia Krebs for her decades of work at Johnson County Community College (10/4, Local, “College trustee steps down”). She’s a kind woman who is dedicated to providing to Kansans opportunity through education.
JCCC’s first employee, Krebs retired in 1984. She could have moved on to other interests, knowing confidently that she had helped thousands of area students achieve a high-quality education. But Krebs decided to remain involved and was elected and re-elected to the JCCC board of trustees six times. She proved to be an educational and political force.
As Virginia Krebs retires at JCCC for the second time, I applaud her work and wish her all the best.
Benjamin B. Hodge
Trustee, Johnson County Community College
